and Manuscript Confidentiality

We understand that sharing your unpublished work requires an enormous amount of trust. Manuscript confidentiality is the foundation of everything we do at The Readview. Here is our promise:

• •Editor-only access. Your manuscript is only ever read by the single editor assigned to your project. No other staff member, contractor, or third party has access to your work.
• •No reproduction or publishing. We will never publish, share, reproduce, excerpt, or reference your manuscript — in part or in full — without your explicit written permission.
• •Encryption in transit and at rest. Your manuscript is encrypted using industry-standard TLS during upload and AES-256 while stored on our servers.
• •Automatic deletion. Your manuscript files are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days of feedback delivery — or immediately upon your request.
• •NDA available. We are happy to sign a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement before you submit any material. Simply request one through your account or via email.
• •No AI training. Your manuscript is never used to train machine learning models, language models, or any automated system. Your words remain yours.

When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:

• •Your name and email address
• •Payment information (processed securely via Stripe)
• •Genre preferences and service selections
• •Communications you send to us

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Ever.

We use the information we collect to:

• •Deliver our editorial services and communicate with you about your project
• •Process payments and send receipts
• •Match you with an editor suited to your genre and needs
• •Improve our services based on aggregated, anonymized feedback trends
• •Send you service updates (you can opt out at any time)

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

• •TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit
• •AES-256 encryption for all data at rest
• •Access controls limiting manuscript visibility to assigned editors only
• •Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• •Secure, SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure

You have the right to:

• •Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• •Request immediate deletion of your manuscript and personal data
• •Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• •Request corrections to any inaccurate information
